Re: Mckees 37 Hydro Blue Sio2 Spray Coating
I'm thinking about switching from synthetic sealants to a paint coating, and McKee's 37 is at the top of my list for ease of use reasons, but I'm a little confused about these maintenance products. Is the manufacturer claiming the Hydro Blue SiO2 spray adds additional SiO2 to an existing paint coat (in other words, a booster/refresh), or is this simply being advertised as "safe" or "intended" for use on top of ceramic coatings, without affecting the coat?

I'm on my second gallon of this stuff. It is absolutely amazing! High gloss. And it lasts several months on daily drivers. My Porsche is garage kept. But driven regularly, and it beads like crazy after 4 months. Glass, wheels, paint plastic, looks super.

I dont see this stuff working as much protection versus water beading solely. what does everyone else think? I just bought a gallon, because of the reviews on water shedding, but Im still cautious as this being a sole UV protector/bird bomb protection.

No one could tell you if it really does protect. The Sio2 should protect but the amount in it is so little. I doubt there was any protection tested on this in a real third party lab for any amount of time. It’s easy enough to use but again around here you might get 3-4 weeks out of it.

Yeah I bought for wheel most. Although I will use it over their coating.

I'm curious how the workflow would be. Say I needed to wash, clay, hd speed the car, how should I apply this? After speed, wet the car then this?

Wait for the first wash. You don’t want to wash immediately after applying HD Speed. The wax might also make Hydro Blue last less time so wait until you see a diminished performance and then use Hydro Blue.

Re: Mckees 37 Hydro Blue Sio2 Spray Coating
I've yet to try a spray coating.
Might have to.
We do a lot of coatings at my shop but the spray could have a place on the shelf.
Thanks for the review
