Thank you for doing this comparo! I'd been wondering how these two compare, as the lower odor of the McKee's is definitely appealing. Does memory serve correctly that the McKee's also doesn't need as thorough of a flushing after the fact as Iron X?
When I used both side-by-side I found the McKee's needed much less water. I also found that the dwell time was a little better. I made a newbie mistake with my wife's black car and despite temperatures in the low 50s the iron-x had a little too much sun on it and started drying, leaving a white residue. It came off with extra spraying but the McKee's left nothing behind.

I love this stuff. Especially if I'm working on a white or light silver car. Rinses very well and don't have to worry about it drying like IX.

Is it that much more effective than the McKee's (which I personally used today to de-ironize a sedan and worked awesome)?
The Dodo Ferrous Dueller Iron Remover is $17.99 for 500ml .... That comes out to be around $136 a gallon

Bump. I have a 2011 and I'm curious what it took to correct this truck.

Great review! I should have picked some of this up in my order today. I use Trix instead of IX though, since around here there's always some sort of tar spatter on vehicles, so having one product to get it all saves me a good deal of time. I might just have to give this a shot regardless, as those pictures don't lie!

Yup, it's that much better. Also all the McKee's stuff is overrated and knock off's of real products. I know it's crazy to say on the Auto-geek forum but it's the truth. Much better products out there than McKees and the Gyeon line that AG picked up just a little while ago is one of them. Get out of what AG offers and you will find them.
