Mothers Speed Clay 2.0
Mothers Speed Clay 2.0
I just wanted to share how comfortable this thing is in your hand while picking up contaminants effortlessly!
Triangle shaped top makes it easier to tackle tight, awkward areas.
Love thing thing and I haven't touched my nanoskin ever since I received this!
its smaller, but does not any longer than nanoskin wash pad
+ it is much easier to store because its smaller, doesn't get soaking wet or sag xD
Great job for mothers, making my least favorite process easier for me.

Re: Mothers Speed Clay 2.0
How is it when used on narrow recessed body lines? Does it flex enough to get in without having to apply excessive pressure?

Re: Mothers Speed Clay 2.0
I guess depends, but it does have about 1" thick foam between handle and clay so it has decent flexibility.

This looks like a very close copy to the "clayzilla" product from Surf City. Looks almost exactly the same.
I have been using that product from Surf City for about 6 months now and it is an excellent product. Looking forward to maybe testing out the Mothers product.

The new Mothers Speed Clay 2.0 works great. I used it on a 60th Anniversary Corvette Grand Sport.

Re: Mothers Speed Clay 2.0
Does the Mothers Speed Clay have removable pads, or do I have to replace the whole unit when it wears out?

No removable pads. I think it says it's good for "20 vehicles". I haven't used mine yet, but I like it a lot and it feels like it will conform to curved panels. It's not gonna wrap around a b-pillar, but it should conform to fenders and smooth curves. Anxious to give it a whirl.

Re: Mothers Speed Clay 2.0
I used Speed Clay 2.0 today for the first time with quick detailer on my windshield and it's clearer than it's ever been.
2008 Toyota Tacoma 410,000 miles and still going strong.

Re: Mothers Speed Clay 2.0
the thing i like about the mothers, griot's garage, and carpro clay block over the nanoskin sponges and clayzilla is they aren't flat and have a diamond like imprint...

Re: Mothers Speed Clay 2.0
There is barely any tactile feel to using the GG one. You can't feel that the surface is dirty and feel It getting slicker with each pass.. Don't know if the Mother's one is the same..
The loss of feeling was bad enough with the towels and the mitts. The Mothers and GG clay blocks are very comfortable and super easy to use, but the thick foam makes that loss of feeling even worse.
