Re: Black Label Diamond Paint Coating v2 - New Formula!

My only hang up with the product is having to use the Pinnacle BL Surface Prep Polish first. It adds another very tedious step, v.s. an IPA or CarPro Erasure wipe down.
Now, if I can do Erasure instead of the prep polish, I'd be happy, but I've switched to CQ&CQUK because of the ease of Erasure.

So the question is, can one skip the PBL Prep polish and just use erasure (despite the instructions on the PBL BD Coating bottle)?

I just use CarPro Essence then apply PBL paint coating. No need for any wipedown.

So if after a day or so I see missed spots do I reapply or can I use the booster to fill in?

You can try, but more likely you need to redo the entire panel. I would.

Polish, eraser, coat or just eraser then coat?

This. Let us know how PBL works with eraser. I recall it being mentioned on the forum that the two didn't work well together.

We have used this Wolfgang product in the Show Car Garage as well as on my coated 57 Chevy.

I used it with no issue that I could tell. I wonder if the issues were longevity related more then application related?? I have the black label prep but the eraser is so much faster and easier. I did the front half of the car with PBL prep and the rest with eraser and as var as the v2 goes I didn't notice in the surface minus the prep left very small random spots. The eraser was wipe on, wipe off and left the surface very clean and dust free
