No problemo, I find it interesting too. And because I know a lot of people will find this thread via Google into the future, here's a plug for Chris West. Besides being the nicest guy on Earth you'll ever meet, he's also a great trainer.
He flew out here from California, that's 3000 miles, on his own dime to be a part of my 3-day class in February. I told him I had a 2005 Pontiac Aztek for the class and that the owner said,
I've tried everything to restore the plastic around the gas cap and nothing works
Chris said, no problem...
Then as a part of the class he shared how Solution Finish works and then demonstrated how to work it on multiple cars in that class including the Aztek.
Here's the write-up for that class,
Pictures and Comments: 2021 February 3-Day Detailing Bootcamp Class
And from post #6
Here’s the one and only Mr. Chris West WOWING the class with a miraculous restoration to the ugly faded plastic around the gas cap on a Pontiac Aztek using Solution Finish!
And of course, like the other 13 cars this class detailed in 3 days, the Aztek came out beautiful!
Chris is da man!
