I agree, there is very little REAL suede out there these days.
Most everything is "Alcantara" or at least some other manufacturers version of it. FWIW, the name Alcantara is originally registered to an Italian company/fabric based out of Milano ;).

If so there's not much you can do outside of a lint brush or one of those Lint Rollers.
You certainly can't use APC without risking affecting the appearance of that type of material. Suede material is probably the most difficult material to try to clean, especially if it gets stained.
Vinyl, Cloth, Leather, anything is easier to maintain.
As for the leather or vinyl side sections you can use APC for these but you can't let it migrate into the suede section and you can't get overspray onto the suede sections.
Ugh... suede looks cool, feels cool, just horrible to have to ever work on."
