Lake country foam pad recommendation / flex 3401 & flex PE-14 rotary
Hi all, need recommendations on which pad type (not color) to purchase. These will mostly be used for maintenance polish, sealants on well maintained cars, but occasionally used on corrections.
The pads will be used on BOTH a Flex 3401 dual action & Flex PE-14 rotary. I only want Lake Country 5.5" foam pads, and I already have some 5.5" CCS pads.
Based on the 3 choices below, and the information above, which 5.5" pad type do you recommend to be used with both machines?
1.) Lake Country Flat Pads
2.) Lake Country Hybrid Pads
3.) Lake Country Hydro Tech Pads
Thanks for the help.

5" Hybrid pads for the 3401
5.5" Flat pads for the PE-14
Re: Lake country foam pad recommendation / flex 3401 & flex PE-14 rotary
I will second the Hybrid pads for the 3401.
You will also have to get the LC inter changeable backing plate system as well but those pads are great!

If limiting yourself to one pad for both machines go with the Hybrids for sure.
But why limit yourself to just one pad selection?

....thanks for posting this. I'm in the market for a Flex 3401 and was looking for what pads to use as well. I had a suspicion that the LC hybrid 5" was the way to go but wasn't sure what the professionals here would recommend. I hardly ever do compounding now that I have my vehicles right where I want them. I just freshen them up from time to time.
