Hammered Work Truck
Mid 2000s Tahoe owned by a construction worker/farm owner. This particular creampuff has also seen duty as a kid hauler and shows it. It belongs to a friend and I really just wanted to do the work to see how my timing and order of operations worked out after a long winter nap. I was blowing out the door this morning and only grabbed my "nifty 50" lens. Wide angle 16-35 should have come out of the bag for this one.
Simple Green APC 10:1 on all the nasty.
Power wash with Zep pressure washer soap on siphon @ 10:1
Steamed interior and carpet stains with Wagner steamer. (..it really seems to think that it's a VX5000)
Floor mats were pretty toasted - washed, advised replacement, and moved on
Cleaned the hood and front fenders with NanoSkin fine pad and Glide @ 7:1
Polished with M205 and an orange Lake Country pad (7424DA)
Compounded rough spots with M105 and a yellow Lake Country pad, then 205/orange
Waxed with Colli 845 and a red foam pad
Hit trim with Ultima Tire&Trim
Dressed engine bay and wheel wells with Malco TireNu
Dressed leather with Optimum Protectant+
Dressed tires with whatever I had at the time
Windows with Sprayway
Loaded up and handed keys back at the 7hr mark

Re: Hammered Work Truck
Nice job. :xyxthumbs:
Those cheap little Wagner steamers sure work pretty great. Do you use the triangle brush for the carpets? I've seen on the steamfast website they have some new upholstery brushes that I might try out pretty soon.

Much better. That truck was pretty beat.

Re: Hammered Work Truck
That's a lot of attention to detail on such a huge canvas.
Excellent job and presentation:dblthumb2:
Zep has a very good soap line and price point.

Re: Hammered Work Truck
Thanks fellers. That was my last detail before getting a hernia fixed yesterday. Nick, I'll look into that small brush. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Hammered Work Truck
Thanks. Adobe Lightroom makes the photos easy...even when I take the wrong lens.
