A Sneak Peek at the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr in the Show Car Garage
A Sneak Peek at the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr in the Show Car Garage
I snuck away from my desk for a few minutes to check out the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr Mike has in the Show Car Garage for the day.
The paint is in pretty good shape overall but Mike has a keen eye for perfection and was able to spot some light swirls that he will be polishing out today.
Mike wiping the car down with Pinnacle Crystal Mist and a Cobra Gold Plush microfiber towel.
Sweet rims!
The Zephyr sits pretty low to the ground.
Looking forward to seeing Mike work his magic on this one!

That's a sweet car. I can't wait to see the magical transformation Mike will do.

That is a pretty sweet car. I love that color especially how clean and smooth it looks.

Mike, Tommy and the owner of the Zephyr are all hard at work!
Mike applying Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover to a Lake Country WHITE Polishing pad.
Even after washing and claying the Zephyr, the paint was still "dirty". Check out how dirty the pad is with contaminants. This is one of many reasons why Mike emphasizes to work clean and have extra pads on hand.
Notice how the cord of the 7424XP is over Mike's shoulder?
All three guys workin' hard!
More pics to come! Im the MAN

Great color on that car.
Who will model this sweet ride?

I would rather be there than behind this desk!

That is funny! If I weren't taking next Friday off, I would have called in acting!

This is a true show car and it has an incredibly nice paint job. That said, it also had fine swirls throughout the finish and actually needed to be clayed.
I'll post the pictures from this project next week but until then here's how the paint looked when it left our studio today...
Finished
