How to hide what you can't fix

Been lurking on this forum for a while but rarely post. Recently bought a DA polisher and Wolfgang swirl remover and polish. The results were quite good. It removed the swirls and the paint is noticeably darker (black paint). Now I am left with quite a few white spots in the black paint from rock chips. These obviously can't be polished out but what can I do to hide them? Thanks! BTW I don't really want to go the Dr. Colorchip route right now just want a product that will make the chips less noticeable.

Touch up paint is your only option. I don't know of any other ways to hide chips except for that.

There something called DR. Colorchip and have heard good things about covering up chips.

If you use touch up paint get some fine tip paint brushes from am art supply or hardwars store for more precision control of filling the chip after cleaning with alcohol to remove wax, etc. I fixed one by wet sanding the excess touch up paint with 2500 grit paper. After using UC initially and a regular polish with Menz 203203 it looked pretty good for a first effort. Just work slowly when wet sanding and mask off an area about an inch around the chip.

Oops, I almost forgot....use a small piece of wood for a sanding block. If you just sand with your finger or thumb you will likely sand a noticeable depression at the chip.

a rectangular rubber eraser works very well for a sanding block

I have rock chips on my car also. I just got some paint brushes and filled them in with color paint then with clear. Its not perfect but I'm pretty happy with it. I drive about 5000 miles a month so the front of my car is pretty chewed up from rocks.
