Both meg's cleaner wax and optimum poly seal are great cleaner wax's and to make the white blinding with great protection I usually go with collinite 845 :)
Finally a subject that I can sound half intelligent. My wife; mother-in-law; and me all have white cars that I maintain. No single stage though.
Here are my favorite combo's. I've tried many.
Klasse AIO-Liquid Souveran-Souveran Spray or Crystal mist QD.
XMT or Pink Moose glaze-SSII-Crystal Mist.
DG105-Aqua Wax
My latest is Klasse twins-waiting to top with Wolfgang Sealant and Spritz.
Mine is a 2000, hers is an 05. My pads don't lie, my residue is white :xyxthumbs:
It's pretty well known that toyota still uses single stage paints on solid colors, they do clear coat metalics, but Toyota feels that the solid colors are durable enough to not be clear coated. So black, red, and natural white are all single stage.
just googled it. i didnt realize toyota was that cheap...... even korean cars use clear coat (i think/hope so)
I have an 02 black runner that is single stage. It is very soft, as in look at it wrong and it is marred. It is very easy to work with initially it just takes caution keeping it that way.
Did the 105/205
Menzerna powerlock
And pinnacle sovereign really looks good.
Since then I have tried dodo hard candy and it looked pretty good.
Up next is collinite 845 topped with sovereign.
I tell you.... It is an addiction in the truest sence
Again this is a black ss.
coat it with cquartz or opti-coat. cquartz can allow you to layer
Actually its my understanding that the single stage paint is more expensive of a process as they put down 3 layers of paint as opposed to a layer of paint and 2 layers of clear and that its more expensive to just use paint. Besides, I will take my single stage paint any day of the week, it gets hazy and polishes up beautifully, one isn't so lucky when their clear coat fails...
