What is your best filler? I use BlackHole but..
I know I know I post lot of question but I have so much to learn!:xyxthumbs:
So, I bought Poorboy Black Hole and use it on 4 cars now. I think it's easy to apply/remove, smell nice, great slickness BUT.. it doesn't seem to hide a lot..( or maybe i'm expecting too much from a filler?)
Is there better filler than PB Black Hole? or filler that can be used on both light and black car?
Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion isn't an option for me because it remove old wax and I don't want to remove my 3 coat of souveran and 2 coat of Natty (lol!). I'm more looking for a REAL FILLER with no other property.

Actually another forum member showed us pictures of a 50/50 shot with and without Poorboy's Black Hole on his family member's dark-colored Ford Expedition, I believe it was. The fill/hide abilities were very impressive.
Other non-cleaning glazes include Danase Wet Glaze and Chemical Guys EZ Creme Acrylic Glaze.
Re: What is your best filler? I use BlackHole but..
correct me if I'm wrong please but, wouldn't you have to put the glaze/filler before the wax in order to see results?

DWG can go over or under wax or sealent.

Is this for car's you're detailing for money?
Or your own personal cars?
:)

Megs #7 always seemed to work well, doubt it sealant compatible but works well with waxes.

That would be my question too! Personally I don't like nor use them. Unless you call Souveran or DoDo Juice fillers. I have used DWG. Danase Wet Glaze, and I did not know that it was a filler. It was on my own vehicle,so it does not matter. If I know that a product is a filler,I tend to shy away from it. If a customer requested it,I would tell them what it actually was. Let them know that the scratches, marring and rids would return.
Re: What is your best filler? I use BlackHole but..
Technically, anything that leaves itself behind on the surface is filling. That doesn't mean it's a filler in what most people consider the word filler to mean.
For example if you apply a paint sealant and it leaves behind a layer of man-made protective polymers, just that fact that the polymers are coating over the surface means they are also at the same time filling.
IF these are customer cars, don't over-promise but instead let them know that swirls and scratches are removed through various correction steps and you're happy to do these extra steps but they require more time and products so their will be a higher charge.
You might also explain that if you remove the majority of the swirls for their car but then they run the car through the car wash then they're just going to come back again and they would be better off to just have you clay the paint, (if needed), and then use a one-step cleaner/wax.
The paint will still look a zillion times better, you'll be done faster with less work and more profit.

I've used Poorboys Black hole many times and imo it is great stuff but you may be expecting to much from it.I like to use it when a customer all ready know that his car isn't going to be 100% and keep in mind it also washes off and you will be back at square one again.
