I just bought the new version M105 and want to try it but it will be my first time with a non-diminishing abrasive compound.
After a search, seems as if most are using M105/M205 with PC's(KBM method). I have a PC but I prefer to use the Rotary.
Can anybody give some procedures and tips for M105 use with a rotary?
From my understanding the KB Method was originally for the rotary. In his post he talks about pulling the polish in at 1000rpm not "opm" and the spurring of the wool, seeing that wool pads are also mostly used with a rotary. With this it should be one in the same for both rotary and da.
The KB method is just pad priming and the use of additional lubrication when the product starts to dry.

1. Prime the pad THOROUGHLY.
Rub it in with your hand. It'll take a bit more than you're used to applying.
2. Apply a bead of M105 to the surface, pull it in, and polish at low speed (1000 rpm).

3. Using a fine mist, spray the surface with water.
Do not add additional product- Just re-polish with what's already in the pad.
I think you'll see a 50% improvement in the cut, but you'll probably see an increase in swirling (it can be easily removed).
After trying this method (count it as one cycle), spur the wool pad (blow it clean with compressed air if you have it).
I won't PROMISE a better result, but I am pretty sure you're going to GET a better result.
How I do it (the old version of M105) is to use it as normal, then spritz the wool pad with water and then go back and make another pass.
Works well, but the adding of water does tend to make it sling more.

At low speed spread the compound over the area. Once this is done increase the buffer speed to 1000 - 1200 rpm.
Move the pad in a straight line, back and forth then up and down. This pattern will help maintain uniformity during the compound process. If you get a sense of drag then give the pad a couple of squirts of water. This will bring the compound back into suspension until you've achieved your goal.
When finished, clean the surface with Isopropyl alcohol before proceeding to the next step.
