any Random Orbital will be better than hand polishing, even novices find the new tool a wonderful item.
Any recommendations?
If you can swing the initial cost, go Flex. Its twice as powerful as PC. If you dont wanna spend that much the G110 or PC but you will likely want a Flex sooner than later. ROB's are quite safe but you need alot of time and patience, the Flex reduces that quite a bit and keeps most hobbist away from rotaries that usually are best left to professional.
As killer says just get the flex vrg3401 and dont waist your money on a pc.
Thanks guys, I want something that is easy to use and is more or less fail safe...
With a flex, can I only use wax or... What else can I use?
Are you just doing your personal cars? If so, a pc would be fine. Cheaper than a flex and youll probably use it only once or twice a yr. Yes, you can apply wax with a pc.
Random Orbital Buffers are best used for polishing the paint or cleansing the paint prior to protection. You can use them for wax application and removal also as wanted. If using only for waxing, consider the lower priced items but for proper polishing get the extra power of the Flex.
It would only be my car maybe family members cars...
Can I damage the paint when polishing with a flex? Any possible damage using it for anything else? I am thinking that the only way I cam damage the finish is with a cut pad and a rotoary?
