Swapping caps on detailing products
Swapping caps on detailing products
I like the Collinite#845 and am using it after polishing on the 2008 Tacoma I recently purchased. I have used it before and was reminded how difficult it is to dispense the proper amount.
I was about to order a dispenser bottle with a flip up cap when this thought popped up in my head. The bottle of M205 I’m using to polish my truck is almost empty and I wonder if that flip up cap would fit on the Collinite bottle. Bingo! It works just like it was designed for it.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with other products, detailing or otherwise?

Autogeek actually sells a cap for that: White Flip Cap
I do see some folks using a sprayer for 845. You'd need keep it warm and purge the sprayer before it solidifies.

Yep.
That Dawn cap worked but was kinda wonky. You can tell it's been on there for awhile.

HD Speed as it comes is the worst dispensing product that comes to mind off the top of my head. I switch that cap.
