Sonax The BEAST Wheel Cleaner Review
This is my review of the Sonax "The BEAST" Wheel Cleaner.
First up let me start off by saying that I felt that these wheels were a true test of this wheel cleaner. I mean these things were absolutely DESTROYED. I knew my normal go to wheel cleaner was underpowered for the task, so I ordered me a bottle of the Sonax "The BEAST" Wheel Cleaner.

It's really nice that you get a liter bottle and initially I was worried that I wouldn't have enough. I'll talk about this again towards the end of this review. At first I thought they cheaped out and just used the same sprayer as they did on their glass cleaner but the truth is is that both the sprayer from their glass cleaner and this sprayer work pretty good.
As you can see from this photo the spray pattern from the sprayer on The BEAST Wheel Cleaner sprays a more narrow beam of product compared to the fine atomization that their glass cleaner sprayer sprays. I think I said that right.
In my opinion this is the correct spray setting for the cleaner to be applied and this allows you to also spray the product in the barrels of the wheel as well.

Here are some pictures that show how heavily contaminated the wheels were...

My process for cleaning the wheels is as follows:
I started off by reading the directions on the bottle.
DIRECTIONS:
Shake the bottle, turn the pump sprayer nozzle to the spray position.
From a short distance, generously and evenly spray cooled and dry wheel rim.
Allow to work for 2-4 minutes.
The color quickly turns red and unleashes its full cleaning power.
Remove deep dirt contamination with a brush.
Rinse the cleaner completely off with a strong jet of water or high pressure cleaner.
Do not allow to dry.
After reading the directions I sprayed the product on to the wheel and in the wheel barrel and let it dwell for 4 minutes.
You'd better have a strong stomach or a respirator because this stuff STINKS indicative of a product that contains iron removal agents.
One thing I will say is that I wish it said straight up weather or not it has iron decontamination or not on the bottle just for clarity. I know after smelling the tell tale scent and witnessing the deep purple bleeding effect I believe I can say with certainty this product does indeed contain iron remover.
Here are some pics of it in action

Looks like delicious purple jelly but I wouldn't recommend putting it on your toast!

After allowing the product to dwell I rinsed the wheel thoroughly sprayed some more of the cleaner on and then agitated with a brush to scrub the wheels clean.
I truly can't believe how easy this stuff made it on me as the heavy contamination just came right off with the exception of the front driver's wheel which had a heavy contamination of oil and grease in the barrel of the wheel, but the face of the wheel still came clean.
I probably could have used the whole bottle and it would not have gotten the barrel of that wheel clean. I believe you'd need some heavy solvent based degreaser to get that oil and grease off.
I did a finger swipe so you can see here in this pic.

Sonax "The Beast" Wheel Cleaner is a heavy hitter on even the most contaminated wheels and going back to what I said earlier about being worried about not having enough, Well let me just say that even though these wheels were what I thought were past the point of no return this stuff restored the wheels and I only used just over a half of a bottle!

Quite literally the most impressive non acid wheel cleaner I've used to date!

Thanks Jacob, I have been waiting for a review.
Do you think it would cut if diluted?
Maybe fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water/give it a go and post the results here? just an idea.
Lovely product I am sure. I have used the 2 previous versions and the results are quite pleasing.
Now let's talk price/+shipping........okay, maybe not.

I'm no chemist so I can't speak on how well it would work if diluted.
That would be a nice feature if they had some dilution ratios on the bottle for applications that require less cleaning power.
I'd like to see it sold in a gallon jug RTU as well.
You can get it for a cheaper price if you hit a 20 - 25% off sale and say you order 100 bucks worth of stuff, you'll get free shipping.

Yeah, a 32oz bottle of wheel cleaner doesn't go very far.
Re: Sonax The BEAST Wheel Cleaner Review
It's actually cheaper per oz for the 1L bottle then the 5L jug of wheel cleaner plus.
