Replacement for a Meguiar's Versa Angle Wide Body Brush?
Most of you won't have any idea of what I'm talking about.
In 2005, Meguiar's came out with a collection of wash brushes. I was a beta tester for these brushes as well as several other detailing products. The brushes were synthetic but they did not cause marring even on my black Ram Hemi. I have used one of these brushes for 15 years. I recently broke the handle on the brush. Of course there is no replacement available.
OK...my question for those who know what I am talking about, is there a good replacement for this brush?
I typically wash my trucks using my own "two step" process. I use the body brush on the sides of the truck and then come back with a chenille mitt and wash the entire truck. I have to drive on eight miles of gravel road daily. My trucks get pretty grimy when the roads are muddy or wet. The brush did a great job on removing this grime without marring even after fifteen years of use.

Check out S.M. Arnold's website with online catalog.
Go to Pg.25 of the catalog, item 82-005 or 82-010 might work.

I remember. I organized the "Fun Day" at Meguiar's in Irvine to let people test them out. I called it,
Fun Day
Instead of Car Wash Day, or something like that, (it was primarily about washing cars so everyone could test out the new car wash brushes and tools), because it would be illegal to actually "wash" cars at the Meguiar's corporate office location due to now system of waste water recovery.
So I called it "Fun Day".
Fun Day at Meguiar's!

Any picture of the brush? Would be helpful to recommend a different one...

Re: Replacement for a Meguiar's Versa Angle Wide Body Brush?
I have the SM Arnold brushes that 57Rambler mentioned. I have them in both green and salt and pepper. They are advertised as "body brushes", but I have not been brave enough to use them for that.... I use them for lightly cleaning leather seats, cleaning nice wheels that are painted, and also for applying hyperdressing to my tires.
I would think a boars hair brush would probably be the way to go. I have one and on SUV's or trucks that are DD's they can be handy, "IF" it doesn't have soft paint, otherwise they have marred the paint.
Good luck in your pursuit to find a replacement.

I’m assuming the long handled one? If so it says it was a wheel face brush. Mother’s calls this a wheel well brush but it is same head and (hairs?)/filaments as their wheel brush.

I have the wheel brush but only have used on my engine. Don’t know if their paint safe but wouldn’t have tried with Meguiars or Morhers personally. If i where putting to paint i would use boars hair. Wheel Woolies makes a boars hair brush in both styles. The are more expensive and the shorter one is available hear on AG. For thr longer one you’ll have to search the world wide web but it is out there

If you want try all three from AG as they have a 25% off sale right now for Halloween.
If you try any of the for recommended or find another solution give us a review.
Lastly Forrest from Mother’s is on here sometimes. Shoot him a PM or start a thread about the Mothers wheel brushes being safe for paint. He’ll most likely reply.
