what was used back then on lacquer and enamel . meguiars first polish was for furniture and who decided to try it on cars, and was it the same as #7 .dupont#7 was invented to use on the then new lacquer paint what did meguiars have at the time. you see i love history , any history

Turtle Wax with "Brillium", Kit, Rally, Dupont and then Rain Dance are the products that I remember.

I used Simonize in the late 60's and early 70's. It was definately a work out.

I have some old metal polish I picked up at an estate sale somewhere. It's solidified & I'm not sure what to add to mix it up again. It looks like dried out Brasso. Any idea what they used in Brasso... mineral oil maybe?

My first wax was KIT….softened wax…big yellow tub….
