Hello. My goal was to clean and coat my car to the absolute best of my ability. Total time was around 30 hours over a five day period. I did not rush anything. The car didn’t come out perfect, as this was my first install of a ceramic coating.
I’ve had the car for seven months and was just topping it off with spray sealants, etc. The paint was actually pretty clean as I opted out of a dealer prep when taking delivery. Hooray for no dealer installed scratches and swirls.
Long of the short:
-washed and degreased a couple times over
-P21S cleaner polished (spot iron-x’d where needed)
-CarPro Essence polished entire car, including door jams, underside of hood, wheels and engine bay
-Two coats CarPro Cquartz UK3.0 including windows (minus windshield)
-Top Coat of Gliss all over (including windshield)
-Used a 25% siO2 coating on the wheels and all plastic trim in the engine bay. Topped with a 5% siO2 spray the following day
-Let the car sit for 72 hours in the garage
I am overall pleased with the results. My regular job always has me up against the clock. Taking as much time as needed for detailing, makes it enjoyable for me.
