There are many options. I use Lake Country Thin Pro 3.5” as well as some Rupes 4” pads. I have no pads to use with the 2” backing plate.
I only have the 3 inch Griots BOSS pads......really starting to like the microfiber padQuote:

For the most part, any thin pad in the 2" to 3.5" will work.
I would have to revisit the RUPES 4" pads but because they have a 3" velcro backing and because the G8 has a lot of power, I'm pretty sure these would work, at least for polishing and waxing. I would have to revisit for correction work to make sure the tool was able to adequately maintain pad rotation.

Right, I have 4" (face size) Rupes yellow pads that I used for polishing and they worked fine. The back of the pad is the exact size for the G8 backing plate. I had no trouble keeping rotation, even with the dial under 5. I still have the pads marked with a sharpie though just so I can monitor rotation :pQuote:
