You will be fine using it on plastic chrome.
Been keeping my eye on some Gyeon products, with over the weekend sales picked up cancoat and some others for my hopefully soon to be spring detail projects.

The first thing you will notice is its loss of hydrophobic properties. That is when some tend to reapply. You could use whatever maintenance product you are using on the rest of the car to extend its life. On plastic trim it will start to lose its darkening effect as well.
