Leather dye. Recommendations.
We have a 2005 Land Rover LR3. Tonga Green exterior with tan perforated leather interior. The driver’s seat is starting to show some wear. No tears just the finish is starting to wear off. I have seen some products that “re-dye” the leather. Colourlock is one of them. I thought that Leathertique might be a similar product but it looks to be a conditioner only. Has anyone used any such products with good results. Looking to getting the LR3 as pristine as possible. Thanks. Phil

Check out (don’t laugh) Docs total package web site. I purchased dye from them a few years ago for a Porsche and it was a perfect match.

How far are you willing to go? If you're dealing with pigmented leather the best way is to strip the seat, rehydrate the leather, and then redye it then put a "clear coat" on it for a factory finish using an HVLP spray gun. This will provide you with a very durable finish.
Second to this is a reshoot with just dye with an HVLP gun. Durability ranges from 1-2 years
Last place is a wipe on kit.

I am thinking the wipe on kit. The seats are in great condition, the driver's seat is just showing some wear in the finish. Phil
