Local guy had a LHR15 MKII for sale. 14 months old (I have the receipt) Looks new, box, manuals, etc. 12 Rupes pads (3-4 were slightly used)
$200. Good deal? I wanted a MKIII, but this seemed to good to pass up.

I think so. Good deal!
Good deal. Especially with that receipt. Otherwise I’d say the price is low enough that maybe it was stolen.
Heck, probably the pad's total cost weren't that far from your paying price, and you got the Polisher just about free! I'd say you've done very well!
I posted a couple pics. 3-4 of the pads were dirty, but 10 minutes in the sink and they're all like new now. They show no wear. The seller said he'd only used it a couple times and I believe him. Older guy...seemed solid.
Anything I should do as a check or maintenance? I know about the washer mod and I think there's a suggestion to grease the backing plate where it rubs the rubber on the machine? Silicone grease?
Great deal. Polisher is worth at least $250 alone.
Pics of the backing plate removed, etc. There is silicone grease here. I moved some of it to the rubber shroud that touches the backing plate.
