Right now I have two porter cable 7424's, A Griots 3" and a Graiots 6" polishers. I have been detailing for over a dozen years and looking at a new polisher. what do you recommend? Flex? Rupes? or ???? Thanks

Since you already have standard DA Polishers I would recommend either a Flex XC3401 VRG Polisher or Rupes BigFoot LK 900E Mille Polisher. These are both gear driven polishers and are perfect for paint correction.

It's not gear-driven but it's really good at maintaining pad rotation for a free spinning tool. I was impressed. I have a review in my review section.

If you do a lot of correction, specifically more difficult flaws, I would consider the Flex which I have had experience with and found it to perform difficult corrections quite well. Rupes of course also offers fine machines and have their following, but I have not had experience with them. If not as Mike suggested the GG9 is a very good choice, the power is noticeably more than the GG6 etc. and in my experience one would have to work hard to get the GG9 to stall.
