I'm going to go with a coating too.
I could be proven wrong, but I don't think it will be a coating.
Last year, I listened to a podcast featuring Nick Griot. On the podcast he said the only way they would do a coating was if they developed and made it in-house. He freely admitted this would be a very expensive investment for the company. Nick also mentioned coatings didn't really fit in with their current offerings. He said their product lines were designed around the car/detailing enthusiast who likes to frequently "touch" their car and detail it whether it's waxing, sealing, or giving it a good wash and QD wipedown. Griots felt coatings, due to their properties, led to people interacting with their cars/paint less.
That being said, things could have changed and there are plenty of us on this forum who would prove their theory wrong too. I coat my cars, I use a Griots product or two, and I wash my cars all the time!
