Feedback Needed -- Ceramic Recommendation for Generator
Hi folks. Have a question I thought I'd put to the forum. My Boss asked me today to coat his new generator. Has them everywhere.
It's big. It seems to be powder coated metal. Flat and textured. I thought about Gyeon Trim or Gyeon Matte...
Any other suggestions. Its 11 feet by 3 feet maybe. Pics are attached.
Thanks in advance.
Ryan

Not really answering your question... but if your boss wanted something cheaper to protect, Collinite 845 was intended as an wire insulator and could probably work on this textured metal too?

Well... not sure money is an issue... his lake house has one too. Lol. I'll mention 845 and see what he says... hes got 'ceramic ' on the brain. I just coated this too... one of his 10 or so gun safes... [emoji111]

My first thought was Carpro Dlux since you coat it on both powder coated wheels and plastic textured trim and also the rubber seals if there is some of those visual. Don't know the difference between the Gyeon Trim and Rim. Or if they are simualar with how it's bonds to the surface. Dlux is available in 100ml bottles too which could be a benefit on this huge generator LOL. Just thoughts that came when I saw your thread.

Thanks buddy. Rim is thicker than Matte. Trim wont work here. I contacted Jeff at Gyeon. Depends on how much it soaks up as to how much it will take.
Its rigid as in feels like powder coated. I tried getting a close up. Maybe one small bottle of Dlux or Trim for gaskets...

Need to be IGL cert, but spray it with Eclipse for the ultimate protection. If you are not certified, sub it out. The client will be blown away...
