Not sure who all were asked for suggestions but when I was asked I recommended the BF Foam Soap.
Why?
The "thing" people do the most to their cars is wash it. They wax it once in a while but the minimum thing most people that take care of their cars will be to wash it and to wash it you need a good quality car wash.
It's also one of the highest consumable products in the car appearance category.
Heck, just last week I wash 4 cars.

It's a baseline product everyone needs. The BF Foam Soap can be used in a bucket or with a foam gun or foam cannon. Good soap for all three application methods.
I almost recommended the SONAX Glass Cleaner as it's also very functional. It's important to be able to see through your car's glass and I want everyone else on the road to be able to see clearly so they don't hit me. :)
