Brand New 2019 Acura RDX gets the works
Had a nice referral from a good client of mine. His buddy purchased a brand new pearl white 2019 Acura RDX. Very sharp looking might I add. He was blown away by the BMW I did recently for his buddy and wanted to get a coating package for his new Acura. Plan of attack. Good prep and decon, light polish, IGL Kenzo premium 4 year coating and a wheels off coating service.
With only 1k miles on the clock it wasn't too dirty nor did it have much if contamination.
Wash/Decon
Hyper wash, Meguiars Iron remover, Nanoskin fine towel
Wheels/Tires- Removed, prepped with Mckees foaming wheel cleaner gel and then sprayed with IGL ECLIPSE high temp, self leveling industrial coating. Inner plastic liners also prepped and sprayed with IGL ECLIPSE.
Correction- Light polish with 3D ONE, Rupes yellow and Rupes Mark ll 21
LSP- IGL Kenzo Premium 4 year coating
Exterior trim coated with IGL Eclipse

beautiful nice work. I am looking to buy one next month when my wife's lease is up

Stunning work (and vehicle) right there!
My wife is getting a newish SUV in the next couple monthes, wish we could afford THAT, it really stands out on the road, especially that blue they have for it, WOW!
IGL has been a recent addition here and great reviews so far but is the coating that difficult to deal with that you need to be certified? I ask because the best us plebians can get is their Premier[emoji848]

Actually there coatings are a joy to work with except for Eclipse which is a whole nother breed.
Best thing to do is to contact them and discuss things further. Jeff and Joel are great guys.

Is the iron remover you used the big one? I kinda worked with meguiars on that. I asked and they took my response wisely to make one

Very nice!! I do like those RDXs too.
Sorry to bother, but what sprayer do you use the McKees Foaming Wheel Cleaner with?
I’ve been using it with a Kwazar pump sprayer but it seems too thick for it and it doesn’t really come out well.
I’ve tried cutting it down with water. It doesn’t seem to affect the cleaning ability, but it doesn’t really help the spraying problem.

Awesome. Yeah it's the one they released at SEMA. Very effective product and good price point.

I use a gray chemical resistant sprayer in a regular 32oz bottle. Seems to be the lesser of two evils. They seem to last the longest.
