Wash, Clay and Seal on 2019 Jetta SE
My father picked up a new 2019 Jetta SE about a month ago and I finally had a chance to really clean up the car after the dealer “detailed” it for delivery.
I forgot to check the build date so I’m not sure how long it was sitting but it was covered in stains, some protective wrap and adhesive was left on the edges of the trunk and hood along with a few other spots. Also, excuse the wheels and tires as I didn’t have enough time to tackle those, that’ll be another day.
Eventually I’ll get around to correcting it as it does have some fairly light swirling from a few times through the automatic wash, but he’ll be more than happy with this. I did the hood and trunk the other day and he was amazed by how clean it looked and how it behaved in the rain.
Products used: Blackfire Wet Diamond Waterless Wash, Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay Kit and finished with Meguiar’s Ultimate Fast Finish.
It’s hard to get a really good idea with pure white paint on a cloudy day but here are a few before pics:

It was covered in stains like the ones above and those hard, tough to get off contaminant specks. And now, the after:

Looks awesome, man.
I work at a dealer, (Ford) and I just cringe at what the "detailers" do to new cars.
These poor vehicles are doomed from the start........... :/
