Re: Mobile detail business?
I have a trailer that I pull with a Jeep Wrangler with all my detail tools and products. I go to people's homes and businesses. A pop up tent for shade is necessary. I have a 270 gallon water tank that I can take if there is no hose on site. I have a Honda generator for electricity. Gas and electric pressure washers.

Re: Mobile detail business?
The trailer is a good option if you have a vehicle that can haul the load. If you don't I would recommend any type of service van that is big enough for the detailing equipment.
IMO, the must haves for mobile detailing are:
1. Pressure Washer - gas preffered, mounted, at least 2000 PSI
2. Water Tank - 150 gallons +, depending on how many cars you detail
3. Generator - 3000 watt, quiet
4. Shop vac - preferably one that converts to blower also. You don't need it to be huge but power is needed.
5. Extension cord - 100 ft.
6. All your chemicals, products, towels, brushes, bottles, etc need to be enclosed in storage bins.
I would also not recommend those flat bed trailers because they are exposed.

Thank you for your input, looks like you have a nice setup there! will check for the things you mention and try to find good deals.
Re: Mobile detail business?
The idea is not bad, but there are some difficulties in implementing it. I would recommend that you start by creating a website where customers can contact you online and get more information. It is much easier to conduct business relations with clients through the site

Hi SmithAlie,
Welcome to AutogeekOnline :welcome:
There's never anything wrong with replying to an older thread, I do it all the time. My first how-to articles on this forum date back to 2009 and I continue to use them today because I write them i a way that they endure the test of time.
That said, this thread is from 2017 and the person that started it hasn't been back since 2017 - and only has 6 posts. Who knows where they are at and what they are doing today.
You're advice is good and if this person ever comes back, it would be great to see how they are doing.
Again,
:welcome:
