I'm NOT crazy but I think my car paint is "healing" itself

I am a normal, rational person and I'm NOT a nut case! But I think my car is actually healing itself!

About 3 weeks ago I did a 3 step and had a rough time getting Lexus paint to finish down. As I found out after all was said and done---used wrong pads for the first and second steps.
Even tho---paint turned out quite well with very minor and very, very thin swirls. Hard to find.

Since then I've done 2 ONR washes to clean minor dirt. At the time, a thought occurred in my mind, "the paint looks a bit different." Didn't give it much thought at the time tho because I am a normal person and cars do not change!

In the past couple of days the car is not looking like it was when I was done 3 weeks ago. It became more shiny and has a stronger "jeweled" look.

In past 3 weeks, we have had extreme temperature swings ranging from frost warnings to high 90's with some 40/60 degree days.

I did some research right after polishing the car regarding the Lexus paint. And have read an article mentioning Lexus engineers taking pride in creating paint that is soft enough to actually heal or close and stabilize itself. At the time I thought it was bunch of bunk. Some said it didn't work well.

In sum, the car is looking much better today than it did from 3 weeks ago. Could it be that:

1. Was I "influenced" by the engineer's comments (planting imaginary thoughts in brain)
2. Could the eyes have readjusted after polishing for long time (not as critical)
3. Became less sensitive towards car and the paint, less anal (relaxed)
4. Maybe becoming a nut case (I'm imagining/seeing things)
5. ONR filling in or feeding paint (hiding swirls or adding to paint structure)
6. Or did the "soft" paint actually changed by stabilizing itself. (leveling out again) Now this only regards the super fine marring or haze created by the pads. The normal scratches/RIDS are still there.

My current thoughts:

Paints do change structure when there is an external outside force upon it.
IE: Wide temperature ranges (expand/contract)
Chemicals that hurts the paint (upset molecular structure)
Chemicals that feeds the paint (improve structure at molecular level)
Manual manplations upon the surface of paint such as a polisher/heat altering molecular structure and stability within the paint

Also paint technology is rapidly changing and they are creating innovative paints that will heal or level out.

Yup, my car is alive!
It is looking better this week than 2 weeks prior.
And no I ain't crazy, yet! Grin....

paint codes and a google search should reveal if it is... what did you use as LSP after your polish?? - I know Reload fills/hides quite dramatically on my vehicles.
