LC Hybrid Pads -- Choosing W/B/R/G
I'm becoming more and more comfortable with the Flex. I've typically selected the orange (FG400) or the light blue pads (FG400/HD Adapt) depending upon need, and I usually use the white pad with my polishes (typically HD Speed, HD Polish or SF4000/SF3500). However, I have these black and Gold pads that I've never really used.
The black pad is described as a finishing pad for finishing polishes, waxes and sealants. It has no cut.
The gold pad is soft, and it is described as being for a jeweling step. I've heard of people using this for a wax or sealant, but I'm starting to think that I really don't have much use for these pads. I don't have a jeweling wax (like McKees). I don't think I would consider HD Polish or SF4000 as jeweling step polishes (but maybe I'm wrong).
Should I ditch the gold pads? Does anyone use these with HD Speed or SF4000?
I don't have any red pads because I went through an anti-wax/sealant stage. (Coatings were the only answer!)
Should buy some red pads, or would the black pads suffice for wax and sealants?

Black will work fine for glazes, waxes, and sealants.

^^ this.
Also, I litterally just added some Gold Pads to my shopping cart along with McKey's Jeweling wax. If you're pads are 6" ones, I'll take them if you're interested in parting with them. Maybe a swap/trade for something.

Kevin, I have always used the LC foam pads with the Flex 3401. I bought the 4 years ago before the newer pad types came out, and they are lasting for me because I only use them a couple of times per year. Have you compared these with the hybrid pads? Just wondering what I might be missing.
