Finally, A Tire Dressing Applicator I Like
I have tried many tire dressing applicators over the years including foam, terry cloth and even microfiber applicators and none of them seemed to work that well. They are always messy and didn't seem to get the dressing into areas around lettering or the tread where it overlaps the tire shoulder unless I really worked it into these areas. They would also leave some dressing pooled in these areas.
I was in PepBoys and noticed a tire dressing applicator BRUSH. I was skeptical it would work well but for about $4 and change I thought I would give it a try. It works GREAT. Very easy to use and gets into all areas. It also makes it easy to get right up next to the rim without getting dressing on the rim. Does not pool dressing around lettering and hands stay clean. The direction say to place gels onto the brush and sprays onto the tires first. I have only tried it with DP and Endurance Gels. The brush has a medium stiffness and flagged bristles. It is made by Carrand and the model number is 93045 if anyone wants to do a search. AG doesn't carry it but should since they carry other Carrand brushes.

Thanks for sharing I'll probably be checking one out and kinda better that it's otc, we used to use a thick paint brush and the tire shine in a paint cup at a dealership but this would be better for me to carry around... for some reason I felt like those brushes sucked up the tire shine or something

FWIW, I was really suprised at the selection at my local Pep Boys.
Plus, I got a really nice red 5 gallon bucket for free since I spent more than $25 on detailing supplies!
Re: Finally, A Tire Dressing Applicator I Like
just ordered one, thanks for the heads up. I love the sliding cover.
Re: Finally, A Tire Dressing Applicator I Like
I read this with a big smile on my face as I have used a special paint brush to apply tire dressings. Very cool.
Re: Finally, A Tire Dressing Applicator I Like
You don't need to buy this specific brush or spend 4-5
Just goto home depot or the dollar store and get a paint brush, it works the same, hands stay clean, easy to spread, and only a buck or two per brush so toss it when it gets really bad

Wow this is a great idea, i have been using "the block" from adams but it seems to soak up more tire dressing than it applies. I will definitely have to try this out
