I'll stick with my 400hp, 3.92 rear, HEMI Ram.
Oh, and quite the bargain at around 29.7k when I bought 'er. ;)

...and the WORST part after spending $ 80k, this truck is intended (obviously) to be driven off road extensively where it will inevitably get scratched up to a large extent. No thanks!!! If I am spending $ 80k it's on a Z06 or Cayman - and keeping it spotless!!!

Raptors aren't trucks for people who need work trucks. They're toys/status symbols for rich people, same as any sports car. The interiors are like any luxury car
It won't be long before we see $100k MSRP trucks. The wealthy have more money than ever, so why not? The corporate VP at my employer makes about $400k/year and drives a King ranch that's absolutely spotless at all times.
Next oil crisis / gas price increase and I bet the trucks go back down to earth in value. It has happened at least 3 times in my life already. Stupid how expensive they have gotten.
No thanks ! I'll take a new chevy duramax over that junk any day of the week...10k over sticker ! ### ! I guess there is one born every minute...the second it leaves the lot it's a 45k truck...
The new V6 model has more hp and torque than the old V8. 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. Same basic engine the new $500,000 GT uses but with more turbos. The 10 speed auto trans is going to be legendary. The GT uses it and the new 2018 mustangs will have it this fall.
The King Ranch and higher level trims (Platinum and Limited) are very nice trucks and rivals a luxury car, the Raptor interior is not that great IMO.
I agree 100% about the status symbol part though. I bet a high percentage of these Raptors never see anything more off-road than a gravel driveway. lol
For 80k they need to take the F150 out of the model and just call it a Rapture. F150 sounds like a 25k work truck. They should hire Chemical Guy's for their marketing.
The gt block and the raptor block are actually different. The gt utilizes more modifications, bigger turbos (not more) and other changes in order to get over 660hp and compete with le mans regulations. But yes, the new raptor is quicker and more powerful than the 6.2l iron block from ford which is basically now a joke.
People might think this v6 is bad but its making 450 hp and 500 ft lbs in the next nav, and its out towing gms 6.2l pushrods by near 1000 pounds. The whole engine is built similar to a diesel with the 2.7l eco even using a diesel CGI material for its block.
It would be nice for ford to offer a barebones truck with the 10 speed and 3.5l eco upgraded.
