What's the last form of exercise you've done?
i swam today at the gym and did around 40 laps (counting 25 meters as one lap from one side of the pool to the other) and i try to do about a mile with an assortment of strokes/drills (try to work on technique and be smooth). also went into the jacuzzi and steam room after to relax for about an hour...
how about you?

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
been bodybuilding for years. have a really nice gym in my basement. not like competitive bodybuilding, but just lifting heavy weights 6 days a week and eating clean. I usually make up for my good diet by drinking large amounts of beer, lol. and I ride my bike about 25 miles a week. love to swim but only get about 4 months of swimming weather around here.

I am currently on day 13 of Insanity. Have been through all 3 P90X programs. Took a 3 month break and now back to it. Gained like 20lbs so I want to lose that back again.

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
I do a combination of power walk 1.5 k's and run 3.5 k's 6 days a week year round. Btw, I'm 66 years old. I just bought a "Trikke" also that I'm trying to master. I used to lift weights for about 20 years or so. I have always done cardio as well since about 34 years of age. I think that all this has paid off as I'm very healthy and feel great and take no prescriptions at all.

Nowadays...This is my exersize-mantra:
"The glory of young men is their strength;
but the splendor of old men is their gray hair."
~Proverbs 20:29
"The Good Wife", on the otherhand, has this as hers:
"She dresses herself with strength,
and makes her arms strong". ~Proverbs 31:17

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
The financial guy I listen to says..."you spend your youth trying to gain wealth, then you spend your wealth trying to gain your health" I vowed not to let my wealth gain get in the way of my health. Its easier to stay in shape then to get in shape.

I always like this quote. Kinda the same thing
The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, he said:
“Man.
Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.
And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
i wanted to add that a lot of people underestimate what is required of a high level detailer. it's a freakin' drag and a lot of people can't take the heat. they break down. they start cheating, doing volume work...hiring all kinds of help, etc.
some of the guys with the best reputations out there are also really in shape or are just strong dudes to begin with. i mean the guys who do most if not all the work by themselves and don't touch anything remotely close to volume work.
i'm not faulting anyone for doing "hybrid" details or bringing help in to their shop, but i'm just saying - typically, the guys who do top of the line corrective work with no short cuts, day in and day out...they are pretty stout dudes.

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
Muay Thai training last night...been doing it for over 6 yrs and love it.

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
Gym, 6 days a week for the past 10 years. 2 hrs minimum and even after 10 years it still freaking hurts for the next few days after but the wife sure appreciates the efforts haha
-
Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
Cool to see all this. I'm a Director of Training at my gym so active people are good people lol.
Workout 5-6 days a week, Sunday's are my "active rest days" where I detail 1-3 cars (mine, g/f, pops). Or play football or soccer.

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
Last form of exercise??? Today I dug a 75 foot trench from my house to the garage. Now I have gas and enough electric to run my 220 compressor and my welder. Not to mention heat will be coming soon.
Honestly I'm not one to pay a membership to workout. I stay plenty active with home repair and car restoration out side of my normal work day. Do some heavy landscaping or wrestle a big block mopar into your car project is workout enough for me.

I think its more the mental fortitude, me and a friend did some side detailing over the summer and here in Phoenix it was hell. But we both knew we weren't going to be done with a car until it was proper and we kept on pushing through. Although the ice chest full of water and gatorade helped alot.

I have to agree.:props:
Before I even thought about detailing a buddy of mine was doing moble work and dude was in EXCELLENT condition.
I call this stage in my life (40's) the Hollywood phase, nice tone, little bulk, no heavy weights.
Unlike my 20's when I wanted to be Hulk Hogan LMAO
