Griot's 6 inch DA with 3 inch pads?
Hey guys. Looking to utilize a buffer for smaller areas that a 6" buffer won't get into. Has anyone put the 3" backing plate on the Griot's 6" DA? If so, how did it perform? I see a lot of people say the 3" DA is way under powered so I'm just looking for any other options for those tight hard to reach areas. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Me too. Of course I bought the 3" GG too. It's easier to get into tight places than the standard GG with the smaller pads - just takes some patience since the power isn't as great, but it works.

Where's the link to the 2 7/8" BP? Can't find it somehow...
Thanks!
(and this is plug and play with the 6" Griots DA, correct?)
Oh wait: is this it ? :
3 Inch Dual Action Flexible Backing Plate, da backing plate, random orbital backing plate
Re: Griot's 6 inch DA with 3 inch pads?
I have used a 3" or 3.5" backing plate with 4" pads on my GG DA and it worked great for me.

I use mine with a 3 inch pad all the time. I just turn my speed down and it works fine.
