I've got a 14g but didn't want to burn it up. 12g is what I'm thinking @ 50'.
And yes I'm a bit paranoid and I love overkill.
For a PC? No chance of burning it up using a 14 gauge. I based my purchase using the chart inside the HF DA's user manual. And the PC uses less power than the HF, so there you go.
I run my 7424 & Flex on a 50' 16 guage. Nothing more is needed. All those charts will lead you to buying more than you need. I'm not cheap; I just do some good research first. I've never had a single issue runing my polishers on a 16 guage.
