    Agreed.

    Pick up a 5" backing plate and the new thin Meguiar's pads. They work great on a porter cable. I just tested these pads on the PC 7424XP.

    Changing the weights is a waste of time IMO unless you are sanding wood. I have run bp's from 6" -3" without any problems on my old PC.
