How small a pad can I go for PC 7424 (non-XP)

I got a 5" Lake County backing plate and the 5" Megs pads and they are great but I would like to go smaller for tighter areas. How small can I go with this PC 7425? Do I need any adapters?

I thought I remembered an article about using a 3" pad with extension that Mike did but I cannot find it.

I use 4" pads from my Cyclo sometimes. Obviously you will need a smaller backing plate.

You can go even smaller yet! (If you choose) There is even a smaller LC Urethane Backing Plate, it is the 3", and is actually 2-7/8" in Diameter.

With this Plate one can then use 3" Pads from the various Makers.

The 3.5" Plate will be a good choice with 4" Pads, and of course as you already know, the 5" Backing Plate is ideal for 5.5" Pads.

No adapters needed with any of them, they'll all button up.

The PC and the Meguiar's G110v2 has been taken down to 2"s with my mod. Heck you could take it down to 1" if you wanted too. (not recommending it btw)

I wonder if the new Flex 1"-2" with an a adapter would work on the PC.
