What to do with my 7424 XP
I have a flex on the way. What should I do with my PC. Just bought it a month ago and its been used on 2 vehicles. Do any of you use a 2 buffer (PC/flex) system.

Get some 4" pads and a backing plate and use the PC for small areas. Or get brush attachments for it and use it for carpet. It's always nice to have a second machine with different cut or sized pads to switch off to without having to change pads or backing plates.

Machine Applying Waxes
I use PC for machine applying waxes almost exclusively. Without the handle the tool body fits my hand perfectly and they are smaller and lighter than the Flex 3401. My point being is you can machine apply waxes and sealants with the Flex 3401 but it's faster and easier, especially when machine applying a wax to the vertical panels to use a PC than the Flex 3401.
That's what I would do...

I second this. I do the same thing.

I use my PC7424XP for 3" and 4" pads as well as applying glaze, sealant, and wax... my Rupes does the majority of the "hard work" though.

Also it is a good damp sanding machine when needed, 3000 grit with foam interface works great.

Eventually you will want to have multiple machines. I use my PC a lot. It is so light and easy to use as Mike pointed out. I often find myself using it for finish polishing after a long compounding session with a rotary. It also gets used for most of my one step or AIO work. Although you flex is new and you are wanna use it and get familiar with it, you will eventually gravitate towards using both machines.

Yes we all use more then one buffer.
Currently I have 4 and 1 more in the mail and I still need 2 more. I think my mentor has over 40 buffers/DAs.
So keep it and buy some more! lol.
The Flex is a great machine but like Mike said the PC is lighter and great for applying wax.
Also you'll want a machine that you can dedicate to smaller pads. It's so convenient to drop the Flex and pick up your PC with a 3" pad on it to get those small areas the Flex won't fit in.

Thanks for the advise fellas. I was almost certain that I was going to sell it because it wouldn't get used. That definitely won't be the case now. Looks like it will be a tremendously versatile asset.
