Wave vs. Regular
Hey guys, I just wanted to get your opinion before I buy. I'm going to be ordering some pads for my rotary soon, and I was wondering which to go with, regualr or wave edge pads, I was thinking going wave pads to reduce my risk of paint burn, but I was wondering those pads wouldn't provide enough contact to work correctly compared to the regular flat edge pads, what do you guyz think. Thanks.

Flats would be a must, wave - Optional.

I like the flat regular LC pads, the smaller, 5.5 inch white ones in particular. Seems like I get better control than the larger pads...

Advice for new Edge/Wave user
You people are probably AutoGeek's best sales staff. So I got this box of brand-new, brightly colored pads that look like egg crates. About to go down to the garage where I also have a box of velcro type (Lake Country) pads (pastels, mostly). Does anyone have any advice or suggestions regarding technique with the new wavy things? Anything different? Any cautions?

My 8" pads are wave; 6" pads are flat. Edge adapters on both the PC and rotary so all pads are good on the rotary.

SELF BANNED
It's all about reducing heat with the waves. The 3M waffles are nice but I'm wary about the edge waves. They seem really big waffles. Could there be a chance of dried up polish capturing into the lower areas of the pads
