Unhappy In major need of help

So i purchased the griots 6 inch polish and wax kit from amazon when it had that major sale for only $130. well i tried using it on my accord and it does absolutely nothing with the products it came with. i tried it on my hood/trunk/door panel and its not removing any swirls or scratches or anything. it didnt even look different from the other side of the tape. it comes with machine polish 3 and the wax. is it the polish im using or the pads or both? would the meguiars MF correction system work well? i have a 2008 honda accord in royal blue pearl. any help is welcomed ! im really trying to make my paint pop and shine swirl/scratch free!

please refer me to any threads with techniques and products to use!

    thanks!
    Mike D.

Re: In major need of help

Im no expert but i would say the polish 3 may not be "strong" enough. When you look on griots website it is listed it says this.

Always start with our very mild polish, Machine Polish 3, and repeat as often as you want, until the scratch is gone. If you have severe oxidation or heavy scratches, drop down to Machine Polish 2

    What pad are you using?

I have not used the mf system but seems there are alot of happy customers. Its getting really good reviews. If you buy the starter pack it comes with the compounds that are formulated for the mf system. 105/205 and foam is also a tried adn true method.

yeah. thats for the 5.5 which they suggest for the DAs. I have seen in places that its suggested to have a couple of each disc also. But the starter pack would get you going. maybe grab a few mf to help with buffing out the product. There is a 2 pack on bogo.
