I have a Q before buying the PC 7424?
Hello, i would like to get my hands on a pc but i would like to know if it has a 220 volt setting. In the USA the voltage is 110v but where i live it's 220v. Any help is appreciated.
Thanx in advance

I don't see a setting to change the machine to take in 220 or 110 based on the location. Usually machine/devices that can take both (like laptop chargers/DVD players) have a range printed on them like 100 to 260 V but I double checked the machine and the packing and all it says is 110V.
Your options I guess:
- Follow up with Porter Cable to see if they manufacture a 220-240 V version for asian or other markets.
- Get a heavy duty converter that can handle 3.7 Amps.
Hope somebody here can refute what I've written for your sake

Without some type of converter, I am afraid not. Now the Cyclo is made in 230Volts for outside countries and is the "cadillac of random orbitals".

You can use a PC in your country with a simple converter or transformer.

There are two model numbers 7336SP and 7424 both machines are identical, but they come equipped slightly differently. The 7336SP, sander polisher comes with a 6-inch counterweight; Porter-Cable outfits the 7424 Polisher with a 5-inch counterweight and a 6-inch foam-polishing pad, PN 54745 (the pad that may be included with the PC- don’t use it on your paint, as it will cause scratching)
Alternative products-
a) A European (Germany) equivalent to the PC 7424/7336 is the Flex X1107VE. http://www.baukreis.de/produkte/inde...p=FX&s=&pg=199
b) Bosch Gex 150 Turbo 150mm Round Orbit Sander 240v –

c) US - UK adapter kit:
You'll need to order a 220 - 110volt transformer, an extension cable and plugs- http//:www.screwfix.com)
Part Description
73851 750VA Portable Power Tool Transform
16691 110V - 16 Amps Metre Lead
19947 110V Accessories Plug
The USA flat 2-pin plug needs to be removed and a UK plug installed (US black is live, white is neutral) the cable is double insulated so no ground / earth connection is required
