Re: Handle? Or No Handle? - Using DA Polishers Without the Handle

I am late on viewing this thread and the bolt link for the PC, but I was trying to bolt my recently with what hardware I have and no threads were right. I go handle-less on my PC7424 but the plastic cover rattle too much when compounding so I put the handle on to secure/quiet it. The one thing with my PC is that it vibrates through the handle pretty bad which causes fatigue quicker than anything. After half an hour my hand is numb. BTW, my PC7424 was purchased from AG back in 2005 so maybe that is why is vibrating so bad now. Plus I can't find the washer that came with the handle(it is non-metallic) which I think was designed to absorb some vibration. Anyone else with an old PC7424 and the speed dial doesn't lock anywhere between 5 and 6? Mine is springy between 5/6 unless I lock it all the way into 6. Comments please.
