    PC 7424 on the way

I have a pc on the way! I will be working on an 05 white tacoma prerunner and an 05 silver camry. I want to try some of the better products but i need to use what I have first if they are ok.
I have meguiars ultimate compound and Scratch remover 2.0
Next I have meguiars nxt 2.0 wax. Will this work or what will i need. I realize there is lots better out there, just curious if this will work. Paint is pretty good a few light scratches nothing to bad. Reading this forum and seeing what some of you guys have done has really got me wantiing to get my autos in top shape. Thanks for the advice.

Get some poorboys swirl removers.I think they work best with the PC and they do not take forever to break down like Menzerna.

Re: PC 7424 on the way

I beat you; my 7424 arrived Wednesday! Now I just need a clear day when I am off work to try it out. I also purchased Poor Boy's SSR 1 and 2. Fortunately, I have a "Home Depot" truck to practice on! What pads did you get with your PC? That will help more experienced detailer's give you advice.

From my reading on Ultimate Compound and Scratch Remover, I would recommend that you start with the lightest cut pad you have. (Personally I would start with the scratch remover by hand since you only have a few light scratches and target the scratches before I break out the PC. Remember if scratches are through the clear coat into the pigment, it is another ball game...)

If you have not used NXT 2.0 before, you will like it! Easy on and easy off with good results in my experience. Another good over the counter sealant to try is Mother's Synwax, which Auto Zone is now carrying in my area of NC. I prefer the Synwax because for me it is a little easier to apply and remove and I think does a little more minor correction. I also prefer the type of shine it gives.
