Pinnacle Black Label Coating Experience after 7 months

I coated my daughters Honda CRV with Pinnacle Black Label Paint Coating last June (Wheels and Windshield are PBL Surface Coating). I knew from experience that she would not take care of it and she was then living in FL so I wouldn't see the car often.

She came back north to spend the Winter with us. The car lives outside and has not been washed in 3 months. We have had numerous storms and her car has been covered with salt and sand from the roads. I noticed the other day that it looked as if it had been washed. Silly me. She hasn't touched it. Just the action of the rain last week cleaned it up so well that it looked as if it had been washed.

Dirt won't stay on Black Label!

Ted, let me get this straight, your daughter came up from FLA to spend the winter up north Well I'm sure it was nice to have family in and I'm sure she appreciated getting the car cleaned up.

I have to say that silver just shimmers, looks like PBL is doing its job

Yeah, she was living and working in FL. Then she got a job in Bahrain - working remotely! Living at home is mountains cheaper for her and she is a saver. She's only 23, but she has been saving and investing seriously since she was 18. She really takes saving for retirement seriously! Yeah, it's cold, but financial security has its points too...

That looks awesome! Will you be using the booster as well at some point?

Yeah, I have the booster. It's too cold to use it now, but I intend to use it this Spring. I'll be using it on my wife's car at that time too. (I coated her car with PBL Paint Coating when she bought it in September).

What I am hoping for is about 2 years service with one of these coatings boosting every 6 months.

I would expect that I would have to redo the LSP after a couple of years in any event - if only because of the wear and tear on daily drivers.

To put that in context, I had a new car with a coating, but after about 26 months it had a number of places where it needed to be corrected. Then it got hit by a deer! I'm letting it cure now. I'll recoat it in the Spring.

Thx for the feedback, looking great! I applied 2 coats on my CRX last September so good to know the durability is there.

    That's great feedback!

Wonder if anyone has feedback on a daily drive where there is a lot of snow and ice!

Spring will be a busy time for all of us!

While it's not a lot, we get about 50" a year. A lot of times it comes as ice (freezing rain or ice pellets). I am in sort of a "tweener" state.

They use a lot of salt and sand here and over the PA border they use cinders a lot...
