Re: Can you layer Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating?
I apologize, didn't realize I was reviving such an old thread. I'd be curious to know from the OP how the coating is doing now, almost 6 months later.

Well, Mike Phillips was using the coating as a booster before the booster product was available and he didn't report any issues with extra coating being applied.

I coated my car last December and the coating is still holding up well. Although lately I have been topping it with OCW.

Might not add to longevity but from experience, it does restore that super glassy appearance...
(The Surface Coating, that's what I'm using on Stacy's MB)
Last Saturday after detailing a brand new MB E350 I washed Stacy's car and then, well here's what I wrote on this page, note the red text...

So while it might not help longevity it certainly doesn't appear to hurt the looks...
I like keeping this silver car looking slick and shimmering...
Awesome results!
The fact that you can layer this coating with a second (or maybe even more coats over time) is a very good plus in my book.
Much like everyone else I want to jump into the coating world and with so many great choices, it's hard to pick. However, for my own personal use-case, layering the product on itself is a plus since I only have two vehicles, I am sure I will have much left over product.
My thoughts would be to polish/prep etc the cars, coat them properly and throughly then perhaps 6 months to a year later I can add a second coat and even add a 3 coat 6 months to a year after that.
Again, my only thought process comes from the fact that I will have left over product since it seems only a small amount of product is necessary to coat an average sized vehicle.
If my logic seems flawed, please direct me in the proper direction =D
Thanks!

Re: Can you layer Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating?
I have applied 2-3 layers of the BL paint coating to several cars. It seems to flash and dry like the original coat. Whether it is building up any thickness to the coating, who knows. I thought the extra layer did add to the gloss. The 3rd layer not so much difference.

Thanks for your post! This coating is looking more and more attractive for my needs.

Re: Can you layer Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating?
Quick question... I just applied this paint coating to my new Stingray tonight and then noticed I missed a spot of polish residue under the coating. Tried to clean it up with the Black Label paint cleanser polish but it didn't phase the coating. This is my first go with a coating so what would be the best way to remove a small portion of the coating to get to the residue underneath?

You will need to polish it off. Then you will be able to prep the area again and reapply the coating.
