Pinnacle Glass Sealant -> Quick Vid

Applied a quick top of of Pinnacle Glass Sealant (PGS) yesterday in anticipation of the rain. I find the blue mechanics' shop towels the best applicators for this stuff. I fold it in eights, and it takes about 0.1 ounce to coat a windshield. Less is more - or you will be cleaning smears.

You have to make sure its 100% dry before you remove it. Or, again, it will smear. If you apply the correct amount, removal is easy and there is little product to remove. I usually run the car's front defrost on high / hot for a few minutes to help dry it. I have also hit the windshield with a heat gun in the winter.

Thanks for the video, looks like it works well.

I'm really interested in Flyby30. Have you tried that and could compare by any chance?

Haven't tried it. The Pinnacle / Griots stuff is so easy to use, I'm sticking with it for now. All you need to refresh it is 10 minutes and a clean windshield. It lasts for a few months, but I always top it off every 4-5 weeks. There was a learning curve though. Its very easy to over apply it. My one foray into the coating world was a bit disappointing, so I'm sticking with conventional products for now. I used regular LSP on all the other windows.
