Hmmmm so if I throw down Menz PowerLock and top it wit Souveran how is one to know? The PL beads like crazy... gloss is insane too ... Slickness is always there .. Now I'm confused
Thanks guys. I do love the Souveran. So....... I need to go WAY thinner and count on
once every 4-6 weeks. I honestly thought i was using it sparingly but I'm convinced now
that I need to use less. Thanks again
P.s. Great point about black holding a higher temperature
Yes wayyyy thinner. I use the Signature II which is the same size jar and same application instructions, and after using it 4 times I can barely tell that any has been used.
I agree with most everyone else's comments in that you have to be putting it on way, way, way too thick.
I put 5 coats (over a 3 day period) on my Corvette and you can hardly tell there was any removed from the jar. Now if you are doing a Suburban then you are certainly going to use more than I did but no way would you need 1/2 jar.
As for durability it would surprise me if it lasted more than a month in ideal conditions. If you are looking for durability then Collinite 845 is a great choice.
so some of you say durability is only a couple weeks to a month or two .... how do you know this? based on beading? shine? or how?
Good question. Both beading and gloss fall off and the drying towel (used sparingly with a leaf blower) starts to drag. Then I think "whoa, you need to wax this car". Then I point out to my wife that the thousands I've sunk into car care products are being used on HER car.
I put on the first coat last night and used a foam pad to aply the wax to a red pad on a GG ROB.
Looks like I hardly touched the jar of Souveran and the car looks really great. A little goes a long way.
Thanks to Tom, trhland, for all his help!!
I have been wanting to try Souveran as a summer wax for our family sedan and it looks like it was a wise choice. I will go back to Fuzion once the fall is here.
