    Hide scratches on Black SUV

I have used both Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover and Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish with GREAT results. What product should I use to protect the paint on my 'black' SUV while helping to cover up any remaining deeper scratches?

While it won't be a permanent solution to your problem, a glaze like Poorboy's World Black Hole would do the trick. Apply it after polishing and before you apply the sealant/wax.

You might be able to remove the deeper scratches by using the Pinnacle Advanced Compound with cutting pads. if you don't want to go more aggressive you can always try a "Glaze" after your polishing step and before your wax. As Desertnate mentioned above the Poorboy's World Black Hole Show Glaze works great. Good luck!

    Pinnacle Advanced Compound, swirl remover

Poorboys Black Hole Show Glaze can be applied any time to hide minor imperfections and to enhance gloss on black, red, and all dark vehicles.

Thank you both Desertnate & Bobby B. for the tips!! I'll have to give Poorboys Black Hole Show Glaze a try before I apply a wax. I used the DA Polisher for both the Swirl Remover & Finishing Polish steps.
Do you prefer the DA Polisher or by hand for both your Poorboys Glaze application and for waxing afterwards?

I like to use a DA Polisher for applying Glaze and Liquid Wax. I usually just apply Paste Wax by hand, but no issues using a DA Polisher.

Some waxes (or hybrid sealant/waxes) also fill better than others. Most carnauba waxes fill well in my experience. Megs NXT/M21 fills really well but they may have enough cleaning power to impact the previous glaze step (just a thought). I think Collinite 476 and 915 fill well.

For larger scratches these likely won’t make the RIDS disappear but may make them less visible under certain conditions.

Additionally, numerous spray waxes can fill: Megs UQW, Pinnacle Souveran Spray, etc.

Can you use any brand was/sealant over any brand glaze? I have wondered if there would be any lost of longevity with using a wax/sealant over a glaze.

Poorboy's Black Hole and Prima Amigo are designed to be topped with a sealant. I don't know if others like 3M Imperial Hand Glaze will work the same.

I've personally used Black Hole and Amigo several times and topped them both with Collinite 845. I never noticed any difference in durability of the 845 compared to times when I applied it to a bare surface.

    Thanks for the replies.

Before I discovered Autogeek all I used was Meguiars products since they have a store in town. My go to back then was either NXT or M21 over M7. I guess I was following your product Synergy and didn't know it.
